Storeroom Clerk Lvl 3

We are currently recruiting for a Storeroom Clerk Lead for our sawmill in Georgetown, SC. The Storeroom Clerk Lead will be responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the mill storeroom.
What You’ll Do
•Adhere to all safety and HR policies and standards.
•Maintain excellent rapport with internal and external customers
•Maintain storeroom inventory.
•Coordinate with vendors and suppliers.
•Enter requisitions for quotes and approval.
•Receive, count, and inspect all parts and materials received.
•Verify that all goods delivered match the purchase order.
•Investigate any open purchase order issues or invoicing issues.
•Notify proper department or person upon receipt of requisitioned material.
•Make daily visual inspections of inventory items.
•Complete periodic cycle and physical inventories.
•Prepare documentation on parts sent for repair and issue a repair purchase order.
•Organize parts and supplies for VMI.
•Check inventory discrepancies and correct issue.
•Train and direct the work of storeroom employees.
•Assist with scheduling and planning maintenance activities.
•Identify stock issues and recommends stocking levels to help prevent parts and materials shortages.
•Recommend cost, delivery, and quality improvements for storeroom operations.
•Perform any other duties in any area requested by Supervisor.
•Keep work area neat and clean.

What You Offer
•High School Diploma or GED
•Experience with Microsoft Office and computerized purchase order systems
•3+ years’ work experience in a storeroom at a manufacturing site, preferably wood products industry
•Prior leadership experience, preferred
•Maintain safe work practices at all times
•Ability to follow instructions and work without constant supervision.
•Good interpersonal and communication skills
•Ability to work effectively in a team environment
•Problem solving skills
•Ability to perform multiple tasks at once
•Excellent customer service (internal and external)
•Willingness to be on-call and come in to help resolve parts issues at any time of the day or night
