Sawmill Technicians: Entry rate is $19.50/hour with an increase to $20.69 after 60 days.
Successful technicians have the opportunity to gain new skills and be promoted into
advanced technician positions earning between $22.28 – $37.67 hourly.

Industrial Millwrights &
Electricians:
Up to $37.67 hourly (varies
with skills and abilities).

Forklift Operators: $22.28 hourly.

What You’ll Do as a Sawmill Technician:
Responsible for
completing clean-up and ground maintenance of regularly assigned area.
Assist with
keeping a steady flow of lumber throughout the mill by straightening
lumber cross-ups using a pickaxe or chain saw, as necessary.
Perform any
other work-related task deemed necessary by the supervisor.

What You’ll Do as a Millwright or Electrician:
Perform routine
preventative maintenance duties.
Cut, weld, and
perform fabrication work with different types of steel.
Repair machinery
in a timely manner.
Identify
mechanical and hydraulic problems and assist in finding solutions and
making necessary repairs.
Identify shaft
sizes, measure up, and build shafts for replacement.
Identify and
change sprockets, bearings, and chains etc.
Adhere to an
absolute lock-out policy, ensuring that the power source is turned off,
machine locked out, and tested to ensure isolation.

Fill out
completed work orders listing work done, parts used, and the time it took
to complete the job.

Perform all
electrical repair and improvement projects throughout the entire mill
site.

Troubleshoot, maintain,
and repair all Programmable Logic Controller (P.L.C.) controls, A.C
inverters, or any other control systems throughout the mill site.
Fill out
completed work orders listing work done, parts used, and time taken to
complete the job.
Perform any
other duties in any area requested by the Supervisor.

What You’ll Do as a Forklift Operator:
Daily physical
and written inspection of equipment prior to start-up.
Operate
equipment in a manner to maximize productivity by unloading log trucks.
Sort logs.
Housekeeping in
and around log yard.
Grease equipment
and help with maintenance.

Physical Requirements for all Jobs: Walking, standing, climbing, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.
