Administrative Assistant, Chase, British Columbia

When you join our team as a Administrative Assistant, you
will be responsible for
assisting in various accounting, human resources, environmental, health and
safety, and clerical tasks to support the site in both daily and monthly
functions.

This role requires you to be on-site 5 days a week at the main office of our Adams Lake mill.

What You’ll Do

  • Greet and direct visitors.
  • Issue vehicle passes and assist with visitor orientations.
  • Monitor and order site office supplies.
  • Send outgoing mail and distribute incoming mail.
  • Direct incoming calls.
  • Arrange lunch for various functions.
  • Schedule conference rooms.
  • By-product entry and tracking.
  • Ad-hoc reporting to support operations.
  • Coordination of office maintenance.
  • Provide support for monthly credit card tracking and donation requests.
  • Provide support in any other administrative task deemed necessary.
What You Offer
  • Technical administrative training and/or related experience.
  • Forest industry familiarity/experience is an asset.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
  • Proficient in data entry – ability to process a large volume of work and maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information.
  • Team player and self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to communicate information (written & verbal) and clarify requirements effectively and courteously.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.

What We Offer

Interfor has posted the following expected salary range that the company believes in good faith could be offered to successful candidates. The salary offered is benchmarked to current market conditions and will also be based on numerous factors which can include work experience, skills, credentials, education, and other relevant factors. In addition to a competitive salary, you will receive a competitive benefits package and be able to participate in our Short-Term Incentive Bonus plan, with the payout amount subject to individual and corporate performance. If you have any questions regarding our salary range or our total compensation package, our recruitment team will be happy to advise you on what you can expect from us.

Expected range: $55,000 – $60,000 (CAD) per year
