When you join our team as a Accounting Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure and learn about the business world and gain hands-on accounting experience and working closely with accounting leadership at the mill. This role requires you to be on-site at our Molalla mill.

What You’ll Do

As an Accounting Intern, you will have the opportunity to work with the Accounting team and gain experience to the various day-to-day tasks of an accountant which includies processing accounting entries associated with month end close and ensuring accurate and appropriate recording of financial transactions in compliance with accepted policies and procedures. You will have the opportunity to work on projects to idenfity opportunities to improve efficiency and develop best practices.

What You Offer

  • Currently working towards the completion of a business degree or diploma with with a concentration in or major in Accounting/Finance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
  • Intermediate skills with MS Office Suite, with emphasis on Microsoft Excel functions (e.g. formulas, pivot tables, conditional formatting, etc.).
  • Impeccable attention to detail and the ability to display tact, diplomacy and discretion in handling information of confidential and/or sensitive nature.
  • Quick learner with a strong interest in developing operational accounting skills.
