Customs Administrator, Burnaby, British Columbia
When you join our team as a Customs Administrator, you will provide co-ordination and management of the customs process and accounting as well as
support in operational accounting and reporting for the Interfor Sales &
Marketing entities. This position supports the preparation of divisional financial
statements, reconciliations, financial analysis, and financial reports.
What You’ll Do
- Manage all of Interfor’s US and Canada Customs accounts
- Weekly permit reconciliations for shipments to the US
- Weekly duty reconciliations and payment, which includes reporting to treasury on upcoming payments
- Monthly shipment correction filings for US entries
- Review all customs invoices for accuracy, completeness and compliance
- Provide support for internal and external audits
- Other ad hoc projects
What You Offer
- 2-3 years experience in logistics and customs documentation
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel skills
- Knowledge and experience with the North American and Export lumber markets considered a strong asset
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Lumbertrack and Tableau software would be an asset
- Positive and proactive attitude with a drive to succeed and deliver results
- Effective organization, planning, implementation, and follow through skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively in a highly interactive team environment
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule to assist in meeting departmental deadlines

What We Offer
Interfor has posted the following expected salary range that the company believes in good faith could be offered to successful candidates. The salary offered is benchmarked to current market conditions and will also be based on numerous factors which can include work experience, skills, credentials, education, and other relevant factors. In addition to a competitive salary, you will receive a competitive benefits package and be able to participate in our Short-Term Incentive Bonus plan, with the payout amount subject to individual and corporate performance. Expected range: $65,000 – $70,000
