Accounts Payable Supervisor, Peachtree City, Georgia

When you join our team as a Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounts payable activities for our US and Eastern Canadian locations. This role leads the Accounts Payable team based in
Peachtree City, driving process improvements, managing system and process
changes, and ensuring timely and accurate payments while supporting company
growth through efficiency and process optimization.

This role requires in-office attendance 5 days a week.

What You’ll Do

  • Become the AP expert, understanding all roles within the group and the end-to-end procurement and payable processes, ensuring alignment with internal controls.
  • Ensure timely and accurate vendor and employee expense payments.
  • Be a change agent; lead the team through system and process changes to enhance efficiency.
  • Develop, coach, and guide the team, setting performance goals and competency development plans.
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics to track team and process effectiveness.
  • Manage workload distribution, coverage, and cross-training within the AP team.
  • Promote and model company culture, ensuring alignment with shared values.
  • Identify and resolve root causes of issues, proposing and implementing solutions that align with company objectives.
  • Resolve internal and external inquiries and issues in a timely manner.
  • Oversee invoice processing, data entry, and vendor statement reconciliations.
  • Review and approve AP invoices, supplier setups, and payroll.
  • Perform weekly and monthly tasks such as accrual entries and reporting.
  • Set up vendors and accounting codes in EAM as needed.

What You Offer

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years direct supervisory and leadership experience with a team.
  • Proven experience streamlining processes and managing a team through system changes in response to evolving business needs and technology.
  • Experience with Oracle Financial Cloud or similar financial systems is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Strong leadership and change management skills, with the ability to manage a large team with diverse personalities and communication styles.
  • Results-driven with the ability to analyze and address problems, identify opportunities, and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, collaborative team environment.
  • Highly organized with strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to convey information clearly and professionally.
  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to foster positive working relationships across the organization.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Ability to work on-site full-time with flexibility as needed.
