Human Resources Coordinator, Molalla, Oregon

When you join our team as a Human Resources Coordinator, you will be responsible for the coordination of all human
resources functions at Interfor’s Molalla division.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide expertise and support for the mill in all aspects of HR including hourly recruitment, onboarding, performance management, discipline, employee relations, benefits, compensation administration and compliance.
  • Be accessible to all employees by routinely spending time in the mill and following up on concerns and issues as they arise.
  • Provide support to the Mill Manager and supervisors in identifying and addressing employee relations issues and concerns.
  • Administer Interfor policies and programs to ensure compliance that is consistent with our core values.
  • Administer Interfor’s Drug and Alcohol policy and perform drug testing according to program requirements.
  • Maintain organized and accurate employee files and records.
  • Participate with Interfor’s HR team and be responsible to coordinate roll-out of HR related programs as they cascade from Interfor’s Head Office to the division.
  • Coordinate community engagement programs and employee relations activities.
  • Assist all employees with HR, benefit and payroll related queries or requests and act as liaison with various internal and external resources as needed.
  • Coordinate and maintain all required HR and payroll records and documents for hourly employees including personnel files, benefit enrollment forms and payroll records.
  • Administer requests for time off under the Family and Medical Leave Act and ensure compliance.
  • Provide case management support for leave management and worker’s comp claims.

What You Offer

  • 3-5 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with full-cycle recruitment and Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with time and attendance systems (Kronos preferred).
  • Understanding of principles of Human Resources and related state compliance requirements
