Maintenance Supervisor, Molalla, Oregon
When you join our team as a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be will
be a key contributor to the maintenance of the mill equipment and will be
responsible for the supervision of the assigned maintenance crew while
providing professional service and ensuring a safe working environment.
What You’ll Do
- Demonstrate, promote, and enforce a safe working environment, safe work habits and compliance with safe work procedures.
- Identify and resolve safety, environmental, quality and production issues as they arise.
- Provide direction, training and support for maintenance personnel.
- Instill a continuous improvement mind-set, managing team performance to achieve division reliability, productivity and quality objectives.
- Coordinate with production team to maximize productivity, minimize cost, and effectively schedule maintenance activities.
- Execute, develop and maintain effective preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
- Identify root cause of problems and effectively initiate corrective action to prevent reoccurrence.
- Provide effective use of troubleshooting methods to reduce duration of downtime events.
- Work with management team to plan equipment or technological changes to mill equipment.
- Use computer-based programs to support effective prioritization of maintenance requests, manage maintenance inventory, and delegate maintenance resources.
What You Offer
- Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of equipment maintenance practices, preferably within the lumber industry/
- 2 years’ experience in an industrial environment in reliability, engineering or supervision (sawmill preferred)
- Proven in leading and ensuring safety performance.
- Knowledge in development and implementation of mechanical and lubrication maintenance processes and practices.
- Experience in preventive and predictive maintenance methods including CMMS programs.
- Demonstrated basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Office, other windows programs.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
