Industrial Electrician, Red Seal, Castlegar, British Columbia
Interfor is seeking
energetic and enthusiastic team players to join our team as a Industrial Electrician, Red Seal in Castlegar.
Starting rate for this position is $48.895 per hour.
What You’ll Do
- Work in a safe and efficient manner while following all safety rules and regulations.
- Preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment and controls for our Sawmill, Planermill and Kiln hot oil systems.
- Set up, troubleshoot, and repair PLC and HMI systems.
- Solve problems and work as part of a team focused on machine reliability and breakdown prevention.
What You Offer
- Sawmill, planermill and energy systems experience preferred.
- Must be a Red Seal certified journeyman industrial electrician.
- Allen Bradley PLC experience, motion control, and the ability to troubleshoot VFD drives, optimizer systems, and scanners.
- Commitment to maintain a safe work environment without compromise.
- Be a positive contributor to a team.
- Able to communicate effectively with your team and other departments.
- Take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work.
- Must have good computer skills.
- Must be willing to work in a multi-shift work schedule.
- FSR qualification would be considered an asset.
- Proven leadership skills and experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
- Demonstrated problem solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills. Desire, to progress, learn, grow and succeed.
- Recognize problems and have them corrected immediately.
- Open-minded and positive in dealing with change and new ways of doing things.
