Transfer Car Operator

North Transfer Car Operator, Bay Springs, Mississippi
Interfor is seeking energetic and enthusiastic team players to join our team as a North Transfer Car Operator in Bay Springs, Mississippi. Starting rate for this position is $20.10 per hour with the potential to grow based on skill level and experience.
What You’ll Do
Perform any and all duties in a safe manner to ensure no injuries to one person occur in anyway.

Operate Forklift in a safe manner in accordance with all OSHA standards and guidelines.

Maintain a constant availability of lumber to be processed at the Planer.

Help unload dry kilns and store lumber in the proper area; making sure all units and stacks are stable and not at risk of turning over.

Move out all sticks racks as they are filled making sure all units are securely banded before they are put into storage.

Routine maintenance and cleaning of forklift.

Must be able to identify problems with transfer car and forklifts.

Assist rake off operator as needed.

Complete daily checklist/PMs on forklift and transfer car, communication must be clear to repair any problems with equipment.

Maintain all housekeeping standards while keeping entire work area clean.

Perform any other task deemed necessary by the superintendent/supervisor/planer leads.
Physical Requirements: Walking, Stairs, Bending and Lifting (Up to 50 lbs).
