As a Payroll Specialist you
will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, primarily for Canadian salaried
employees in British Columbia, Ontario, and New Brunswick, while complying with
labour laws and managing data across the employee life cycle. Responsibilities
include semi-monthly and off-cycle payroll, with support for other cycles such
as weekly and bi-weekly hourly payroll.

What We Offer

The salary range for this role is $72,000 to $89,000 per year and
is based on experience, skills, and qualifications. The total compensation

Highlights of the Role

  • Payroll Processing: Accurately
    manage full cycle semi-monthly payroll for Canadian salaried employees,
    including audits, reconciliations, and year-end tax forms.
  • Data Management: Handle
    employee life cycle data (hires, terminations, changes, leaves) and ensure
    seamless payroll integration.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain
    SOPs, payroll tools, and ensure compliance with labour laws and privacy
    regulations.
  • Customer Service: Respond
    to employee pay inquiries and collaborate with HR and Finance to resolve
    payroll issues.
  • System & Process Improvement: Support
    payroll system maintenance, identify efficiency opportunities, and
    contribute to system enhancements.
  • Team Collaboration: Promote
    a positive work environment and support team members across departments.

What You Bring to the Role

  • Experience: 2–3 years of full-cycle payroll experience with salaried and hourly employees; unionized and manufacturing experience is an asset.
  • Education: Diploma or degree in accounting, payroll, or business administration, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications: PCP or CPM certification is an asset but not mandatory.
  • Systems: Experience with payroll systems required; familiarity with ADP Workforce Now and UKGPro & Workforce Management preferred.
