Human Resources Business Partner, Peachtree City, Georgia
When you join our team as a Human Resources Business Partner, you will be responsible for providing support to our South region
and leadership. You will partner with leadership to deliver
the region’s strategic HR objectives, administer retention and employee
relations, and support community and employee engagement activities.
Additionally, you will be responsible for supporting the Senior HR Manager
in the Peachtree City corporate office and coordinating with the HR team in the
South on various HR related projects.
What You’ll Do
- Building trusting relationships within the HR team and with leaders to ensure effective delivery of HR programs.
- Provide expertise and support for the PTC office in full cycle HR including coordinating with the Salary Recruitment team, onboarding, performance management, leave management, discipline, employee relations, investigations, exit and retention interviews, and compliance items.
- Support Interfor’s strategy and the region’s people goals including participating in the retention, engagement and hourly recruitment programs.
- Support hourly recruitment hiring efforts, with a specific focus on skilled trade recruitment for the region.
- Collect, analyze and report out on key HR metrics for the South region.
- Support the Office Safety Committee, Social Committee including engagement activities within the community.
- Provide advice, guidance and oversee the leave management and return to work process.
- Provide back up support to site HR and travel to mills in the South region as needed.
What You Offer
- 5-10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, including employee relations, community engagement, and recruitment.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.
- Experience with various HRIS systems for ATS (Cornerstone preferred) and payroll (Kronos preferred), SharePoint and ADP.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with claims management is desirable.
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel within the region to Interfor locations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively in a highly interactive team environment.
- Strong understanding of Employment Standards, Employment Equity, Federal and State compliance laws, with strategic and practical application in HR initiatives.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively, bringing innovative solutions and a process improvement mindset.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
