Saw Filer/ Saw Filer Apprentice, Castlegar, British Columbia
Interfor is seeking energetic and enthusiastic team players to join our team as a Saw Filer/ Saw Filer Apprentice in Castlegar. Starting rate for this position is $41.40- $48.89 per hour based on current certification held, skill level and experience or current apprenticeship level completed.
If not certified must be in good standing and currently enrolled in a Saw Filer apprenticeship program.
What You’ll Do
- A strong commitment to working safely with the ability to follow and promote site safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain, troubleshoot and repair primary and secondary breakdown machine centers with regards to sawfiling.
- Assist production personnel with any sawing flow related problems.
- Maintain open lines of communication with all departments and personnel necessary to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
- Handle filing room workload to Head filer standards.
