Power Engineer – 4th Class, Castlegar, British Columbia
Interfor
is seeking energetic and enthusiastic team players to join our team as a Power Engineer – 4th Class for our sawmill. An
Industrial Mechanic/Millwright at Interfor extends beyond typical maintenance
of mechanical systems. This includes working with automated equipment,
sophisticated PLC systems and remote/web-based technologies. The starting rate for this position is $47.18 per hour.
What You’ll Do
- Work in a safe and efficient manner while following
all safety rules and regulations. - Maintain a safe work environment.
- Ensure consistent operation of our Energy Plant.
- Work towards achieving operating targets.
- Facilitate the reliable supply of services to the operation.
What You Offer
- Energy systems experience preferred.
- A valid TSBC 4th Class Power Engineering
certificate. - Physical ability to work 12-hour shifts.
- Proven leadership skills and experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
- Demonstrated problem solving, troubleshooting, and
analytical skills. - Commitment to maintain a safe work
environment without compromise. - Recognize problems and have them corrected
immediately. - Open-minded and positive in dealing with change and
new ways of doing things. - Take personal responsibility for the quality and
timeliness of work. - Be a positive contributor to a team.
