Power Engineer – 4th Class, Castlegar, British Columbia

Interfor
is seeking energetic and enthusiastic team players to join our team as a Power Engineer – 4th Class for our sawmill. An
Industrial Mechanic/Millwright at Interfor extends beyond typical maintenance
of mechanical systems. This includes working with automated equipment,
sophisticated PLC systems and remote/web-based technologies. The starting rate for this position is $47.18 per hour.

What You’ll Do

  • Work in a safe and efficient manner while following
    all safety rules and regulations.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Ensure consistent operation of our Energy Plant.
  • Work towards achieving operating targets.
  • Facilitate the reliable supply of services to the operation.

What You Offer

  • Energy systems experience preferred.
  • A valid TSBC 4th Class Power Engineering
    certificate.
  • Physical ability to work 12-hour shifts.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving, troubleshooting, and
    analytical skills.
  • Commitment to maintain a safe work
    environment without compromise.
  • Recognize problems and have them corrected
    immediately.
