As Planer Supervisor at
Interfor you will be responsible for driving the safe, efficient, and
high-quality flow of lumber through the planer mill. You’ll oversee all aspects
of dry lumber processing and packaging, collaborating across departments to

qualifications, with an expected range of $91,600 – $116,600 (CAD) per

Highlights of the Role
- Safety Leadership: Champion safety standards, policies, and practices, ensuring a safe work environment for all team members.
- Productivity Optimization: Identify and implement improvements to boost productivity, reduce costs, and maximize lumber quality and value.
- Quality Oversight: Ensure manufacturing meets product specifications and customer expectations while maximizing output.
- Team Engagement: Motivate and guide production and maintenance staff to achieve targets and address challenges professionally.
- Operational Management: Supervise shift activities, manage budgets, control inventory, and oversee compliance with site protocols.
What You Offer
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams and foster open, respectful communication.
- Expertise: Minimum 3–5 years in sawmill, planer, or heavy industrial settings; 1–2 years supervisory experience.
- Technical Skills: Strong computer proficiency (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Office); knowledge of lumber manufacturing and grading is an asset.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities; able to perform under pressure and across shifts.
