Maintenance Planner, Thomaston, Georgia

When you join
our team as Maintenance Planner, you will coordinate the efficient
planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance activities by applying best
practice planning techniques in a team environment. This role ensures minimal
interruptions to mill operations, maximizes tradesperson efficiency, and
supports the delivery of prompt, quality-centered service to production
departments.

Location: This role is based on-site at the
sawmill at 75 Ben Hill Rd, Thomaston, GA 30286.

What
You’ll Do

  • Plan,
    schedule, and coordinate maintenance work to support safe, reliable, and continuous mill operations.
  • Manage and
    maintain the EAM system to
    ensure accurate work plans, equipment records, and efficient execution of
    maintenance activities.
  • Develop
    clear job scopes,
    work steps, labor estimates, material needs, and total job cost estimates.
  • Coordinate
    with maintenance groups (trades, operations, engineers, contractors, and storeroom personnel) to
    ensure work is properly planned and resourced.
  • Optimize
    maintenance productivity by improving scheduling, job readiness, preventive maintenance programs, and
    use of best practices.
  • Monitor
    maintenance performance, budgets, and data to identify efficiency improvements, cost
    savings, and future maintenance needs.

What You
Offer

  • 5 years of experience
    in maintenance planning and scheduling in an industrial or manufacturing
    environment
  • Mechanical
    aptitude and knowledge of equipment maintenance practices
  • Comfortable
    EAM and MS Office
  • Detail and
    results oriented, strong business acumen, analytical thinking, and the ability
    to balance competing deadlines under pressure
