Logistics Coordinator, Rail
The Logistics Coordinator, Rail role is responsible for supporting Interfor’s rail shipments by coordinating railcar orders, tracking shipments, and resolving day‑to‑day logistics issues. This position partners closely with rail logistics leadership, mills, reload locations, and internal teams to ensure shipments are planned accurately, inventory is balanced, and customer commitments are met.
Location: This role is on-site and requires consistent presence at the office five days per week at the Metrotown Head Office located at 1600-4720 Kingsway Metrotower II Burnaby, BC V5H 4N2.

skills, and qualifications, with an expected range of $70,000 – $100,000

What You’ll Do
- Own the rail logistics process end‑to‑end: from ordering railcars and billing loads to tracking shipments and resolving freight issues
- Coordinate shipment volumes and inventory across reload locations to ensure on‑time delivery to customers
- Partner closely with Rail Logistics leadership to secure the right transportation capacity and support future order fulfilment
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with sales, production planners, and mill teams to optimize shipments and deliver a great customer experience
What You Offer
- Minimum 3 years in transportation or logistics within a manufacturing environment, with hands‑on experience using TMS and ERP systems
- Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and comfort participating in MS Teams meetings with the camera on, contributing actively and professionally
- Highly organized, able to multitask, manage interruptions, and solve problems creatively while meeting multiple demands
- Self‑motivated, customer‑focused team player who thrives in a fast‑paced, highly collaborative environment
