data and a drive to make an impact? As Director, Sales & Marketing Business Development, you’ll work closely with senior leadership across our Sales &
Marketing, Logistics, and Operational teams to shape and execute Interfor’s
sales strategy—leveraging insights from customers, markets, and operations to
drive margin growth and elevate customer service.

self-starter with a high level of curiosity, a sharp analytical mindset, and a
proven ability to identify and act on opportunities that deliver measurable
business value.

What You’ll Do

  • Facilitate strategy development and planning across Sales & Marketing and Logistics group in alignment with operations to drive buy-in and translation of strategies to operational plans that capture value.
  • Support management teams in developing their strategic thinking and approaches to the business.
  • Facilitate alignment across regions, working with regional teams and national or regional customers to present our company as One Interfor.
  • Define, implement and execute on business KPIs through strong communication both externally and internally driven by hard metrics, clear targets and strong governance.
  • With analytical rigor, identify opportunities and threats with strong strategic responses.
  • Work with SVP, Sales and Marketing on internal and external messaging and communication including overseeing corporate presentations for customers, management and the board of directors
  • Lead strategic initiatives as required.

What You Offer

  • 15+ years of experience working in a sales & marketing/business environment.
  • Post-secondary education in business or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing strategies to maximize sales returns and margins.
  • Detailed knowledge of North American forest products market both in terms of sales and logistics.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, influence without authority and drive change through the organization.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with external stakeholders including customers or vendors and actively engage in aligning goals, objectives or strategies across companies.
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to convey complex concepts and ideas in a clear and concise manner– the successful candidate should have excellent presentation skills and be able to weave inputs from multiple sources into a cohesive storyboard.
  • Demonstrated change management skillset and ability to thrive in ambiguous situations.
  • Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and foster ownership, innovation, and collaboration across business units.
  • Ability to work at a senior level with excellent business acumen and leadership skills.
  • Self-starter that is comfortable with sourcing, advocating, leading, and advancing strategic initiatives with teams and colleagues who do not necessarily report hierarchically to you.
  • Ability to provide thought leadership with well-developed analytical and communication skills.
  • Comfort and capability to work with customers at multiple levels in their organization, pursuing alignment & partnership between Interfor and our customers.

What We Offer
Interfor has posted the following expected salary range that the company believes in good faith could be offered to successful candidates. The salary offered is benchmarked to current market conditions and will also be based on numerous factors which can include work experience, skills, credentials, education, and other relevant factors. In addition to a competitive salary, you will receive a competitive benefits package and be able to participate in our Short-Term Incentive Bonus plan, with the payout amount subject to individual and corporate performance. Expected range: $165,000 – $195,000 (CAD) per year
