The Senior Sales &
Marketing Representative plays a lead role in driving performance across
Interfor’s Western Commodity Lumber business, owning key customer relationships
while shaping sales strategy and margin outcomes. In addition to managing
complex accounts and tracking market dynamics, this role provides mentorship
and day‑to‑day guidance to junior sales team members. It’s an ideal opportunity
for an experienced lumber sales professional who wants greater influence,
leadership exposure, and impact on commercial results.

What We Offer
Interfor offers a competitive salary based on experience, skills, and
qualifications, with an expected range of $100,000 – $130,000 (CAD) per

What You’ll Do

  • Sales Leadership: Lead pricing, negotiations, and contract management for a defined portfolio of key commodity customers.
  • Customer Strategy: Build and deepen strategic, long‑term customer relationships to support volume, mix, and margin goals.
  • Market Direction: Analyze lumber market trends and translate insights into tactical sales and inventory strategies.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee individual and regional mill inventories and proactively move product to optimize returns.
  • Team Mentorship: Support, coach, and mentor junior Sales & Marketing Representatives, sharing market knowledge and best practices while contributing to team initiatives.

What You Offer

  • Industry Expertise: 7–10 years of experience in commodity lumber sales, with strong knowledge of the North American lumber market.
  • Commercial Acumen: Proven ability to drive margin, manage complex customer relationships, and execute sound sales strategies.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Experience guiding, coaching, or informally leading junior team members in a collaborative sales environment.
  • Execution & Organization: Highly organized, results‑driven, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑moving market.
  • Professional Toolkit: Post‑secondary education, advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, and willingness to travel within Canada and the U.S. as needed.
