What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage
    yard operations by supervising heavy equipment operators, kiln operators,
    yard employees and contractors to meet production, budget, and safety
    targets.
  • Oversee yard
    processes—including raw material, lumber, co-products, inventory and kiln
    operations—ensuring disciplined FIFO rotation, timely reporting and
    adherence to environmental and yard management plans.
  • Direct all
    supervisory functions such as scheduling, payroll, training, performance
    management, incident reporting and accountability/discipline while
    maintaining accurate records through regular audits.
  • Collaborate with
    department heads to drive continuous improvement, resolve equipment issues
    promptly, and foster a safe, clean, and positive work environment.

What You Offer

  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or lumber yard environment, with strong knowledge of inventory management and material handling.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, manage within a collective bargaining environment and handle conflict effectively.
  • Solid organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities, with strong commitment to health, safety and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Excel (EAM experience an asset) and excellent communication skills
