Inventory Coordinator (18 month contract), Timmins, Ontario

When you join our team as an Inventory Coordinator, you will be responsible for procuring and replenishing commodities, services,
supplies, and equipment for the Timmins Sawmill. You will provide coordination
of information between the unit and vendors, to maintain and upgrade a vendor
list to support operations product or services needs. You will take
responsibility for the materials physical inventory management, monitors and
reorganizes the supply chain to improve results on inventory levels, supplier
performance, and cost management, with a view to providing products and services
at the lowest possible cost.

Contract: 18 months (This posting is for an existing vacancy)

Location: On-Site (267 McChesney Rd, Timmins,
ON P4N 7C3)

What
You’ll Do

  • Manage
    inventory control and accuracy by completing cycle counts, physical inventories, stock verification, and
    maintaining accurate inventory data in EAM system.
  • Coordinate
    purchasing and replenishment activities by generating requisitions, supporting buyer requests,
    expediting materials, and working with approved vendors to meet operational
    needs.
  • Oversee
    receiving, storage, and distribution of materials by verifying deliveries, tagging and
    locating parts, issuing inventory to work orders, and maintaining clean, safe
    storage areas.
  • Support
    operational and month-end activities including shipping repairs, vendor returns, consumable tracking, reporting,
    documentation control, and assisting the purchasing team as required.

What You

    related to administration, purchasing or logistics field
  • Comfortable
    using MS Office, EAM systems and basic computer/email tools
  • Inventory
    experience preferred; open to new graduates
  • Strong
    communication skills with attention to detail and ability to work independently
    in a fast-paced environment
  • Postive, hardworking, and eager to learn with a strong team-oriented attitude
