Shift Electrician

Shift Electrician, Val-d’Or, Quebec

When you join
our team as a Shift Electrician you will be responsible for diagnosing and
responding to emergencies.

What
You’ll Do

  • Perform daily checks
    (continuity, current, voltage and resistance) on equipment and carry out
    diagnostics;
  • Repair, install and
    test equipment (transformers, regulators, motors, generators, electrical
    control system);
  • Design control
    panels and install power distribution circuits;
  • Interpret electrical
    code requirements and ensure compliance.
  • Respond to
    emergencies in the event of a breakdown;
  • PLC programming
    (A.P.I.);
  • Perform all other
    related tasks.

What
You Offer

  • Hold a DEP in
    maintenance electricity;
  • At least two years’
    experience in an industrial environment, preferably in a sawmill complex;
  • Possession of a
    “C” license as an electrician would be an asset;
  • Knowledge of Omron
    PLCs would be an asset;
  • Undergo a training
    period as provided for in the collective agreement;
  • Obtain a positive
    evaluation of skills and aptitudes for the position;
  • Efficient,
    methodical, orderly, and precise;
  • Demonstrate a spirit
    of cooperation and initiative;
  • Analytical,
    conscientious and flexible;
  • Results-oriented
    while respecting safety standards;
  • Ability to analyze
    and solve problems;
  • Speed of execution
    and ability to work under pressure;
  • Autonomy and
    initiative.

Schedule: 4/3, days and nights, Monday to Thursday.

Salary: between 32.48 and 35.53, trade bonus $1.75/hour
