Mobile Equipment Mechanic, Thomaston, Georgia
Interfor is seeking energetic and enthusiastic team players to join our team as a Mobile Equipment Mechanic in Thomaston.

What You’ll Do
- Perform maintenance on all
mobile/rolling stock equipment ensuring its efficient operation. - Perform routine preventative maintenance duties.
- Fill out completed work orders listing work done, parts used, and the time it took to complete the job.
- Inspect all tires, fluid levels, and belts for signs of wear, and replace as needed.
- Accurately requisition replacement parts.
- Effectively manage and plan work so as to accomplish all job tasks without having direct supervision on all matters.
- Use Oil Dry on all leaks and keep spills contained and to a minimum.
- Communicate with Supervisor and Superintendent as to the status of all out of service equipment.
- Audit pre-shift startup check sheets that are completed daily by the mobile equipment operators.
- Perform any other duties in any area requested by Supervisor in order to keep area in operation.
- Clean up after each job.
What You Offer
- 2 to 4 years of mobile equipment mechanic level experience.
- High School Diploma/Equivalent Preferred.
- Prior manufacturing/warehouse/lumber operations experience preferred.
- Ability and desire to work in varying seasonal climate conditions.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Physical Requirements: Walking, standing, climbing, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.
