Log Procurement Administrator

We are currently recruiting for a Log Procurement Administrator based in Perry, GA. The Log Procurement Administrator
will be responsible various reporting, administrative, quality control, and accounting tasks (daily, weekly, and monthly)related to the procurement of logs.

What You’ll Do

  • All day to day tasks associated to the Log Procurement function – producing and distributing reports, handling/processing/filing of supplier information, supporting Sustainable Forestry Initiative activities/documentation/reporting, and other administrative tasks as needed
  • Balance and verify data with follow up on discrepancies/errors
  • Correspondence with suppliers, logging contractors, and vendors
  • Record management
  • Provide Quality Control administrative support
  • Provide analysis and ad-hoc reporting support for accounting and operational staff

What You Offer

  • Office Administration and/or Accounting technical training
  • Forest industry knowledge/ experience would be beneficial
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Strong computer skills, data base experience
  • Thorough knowledge of office administrative procedures and systems
  • Highly organized with ability to prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to process a large volume of work and maintain high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information
  • Ability to multi-task, deal with numerous interruptions and meet multiple demands from several people
  • Mathematical aptitude and ability to analyze data
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment and under pressure
  • Problem analysis and solving skills
  • Proficient in data entry (both alpha and numerical)
  • File management
  • Team player, self-starter, ability to work independently with minimal supervision and direction
  • Adaptable in a constantly changing environment
  • Ability to effectively and courteously communicate information (written & verbal) and clarify requirements
