Inventory Coordinator, Ostrom (Gogama), Ontario
When you join our team as Inventory Coordinator,
reporting to the Regional Buyer, Eastern Operations, you will be responsible
for implementing inventory management processes as well as ensuring that the
tasks and activities related to the shipment and receipt of equipment is
carried out diligently and in partnership with the sectors concerned.
What You’ll Do
- Ensure inventory management processes and guidelines are completed, including daily cycle counts and annual physical inventory;
- Manage processes, systems, and inventories to ensure the consistent and timely;
- Ensure Shipping/Receiving tasks are completed daily, in partnership with internal stakeholders;
- Responsible for the delivery of parts, equipment, supplies, and services to operations in compliance with corporate guidelines (changing part numbers, information, and documentation control);
- Provide support in expedition material requirements in accordance with the operating needs of the business unit;
- Support the identification and evaluation of vendors of materials, equipment, services or supplies and determine product availability, terms of service or product, while respecting corporate preferred vendors;
- Perform any other duty related to the position.
What You Offer
- Professional or post-secondary diploma or studies related to administration, purchasing/logistic field;
- 3-5 years experience in a similar position;
- MS Office intermediate level with material management system usage experience
- Experience operating small forklifts is an asset;
- Excellent interpersonal, and customer services skills;
- Analytical in nature, with mathematical skills;
- Detail and results oriented;
- Ability to organize workflow in a safe manner, in a busy environment;
- Self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.
