When you join our team as a Human Resources Coordinator, you will support and work on fundamental human resource
processes, projects and information systems. This role requires a highly
organized, accurate, and resourceful professional that anticipates needs and thrives
in delivering superior support in a complex, fast-paced and unstructured
environment; ultimately to contribute to achieving the HR department’s goals
and objectives. The successful candidate will have exposure to and be
responsible for providing hands-on support for the HR leadership team, with a
focus on activities relating to Learning & Talent Development.

What You’ll Do

HR Support:

  • Provide confidential administrative support for the HR leadership team, including the preparation and collation of written reports and materials.
  • Schedule meetings, appointments, and events for the HR team.
  • Builds effective working relationships throughout the business and our multi-national HR Team.
  • Organize a wide range of duties effectively and efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality of work with constant interruptions.

Program Management & Talent Processes:

  • Identifies opportunities for funding in both Canada and US and supports application process for funding programs.
  • Provides training coordination and support for our training & development programs, including organizing training events, maintaining program participation records, producing reports, and corresponding with third-party vendors as required.
  • Work with Learning & Talent Development team to develop and maintain processes that support the smooth, successful and integrated operation of the administrative function.
  • Assists with data preparation and audits relating to Interfor’s talent processes.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required or directed.

Other Duties:

  • Builds effective working relationships throughout the business and our multi-national HR Team.
  • Provides administrative and analytical support to various procedures and HR divisions.
  • Organize a wide range of duties effectively and efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality of work with constant interruptions.
  • Provides additional support for Interfor’s talent processes, programs and systems as needed.

What You Offer

  • Currently working towards or completed business degree with a concentration or major in Human Resources Management or related field is preferred.
  • Prior administrative experience preferred.
  • Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Bilingualism in French (spoken and written) is an asset.
  • Discretion & tact – track record of dealing with confidential and sensitive situations with integrity, diplomacy and discretion.
  • Energetic self-starter – high work ethic with the ability to rise to the occasion and do what it takes to achieve high standards of performance.
  • Good judgment – demonstrated track record of making sound and timely decisions.
  • Professional demeanour – poised, calm, efficient, and capable of managing multiple priorities and situations.
  • Communications – articulate with strong writing and editing skills.
  • Understand organizational dynamics and procedures to ensure appropriate decision-making protocols are followed.
  • Team player with proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams.
  • Anticipatory – able to use intuition and observation to see what is ahead and required and act accordingly.
  • Must be extremely detail oriented with the ability to produce information with the utmost precision and detail.
  • A positive, can-do attitude that can meet challenges, handle pressure, resolve problems and work with various levels and departments throughout the organization.
